The first Blaze-native clipping economy โ connecting streamers and clippers through trustless smart contract escrow powered by $BLAZE.
BlazeDAO is a decentralised clipping economy built natively on top of Blaze.stream. Streamers post $BLAZE-denominated bounties tied to their real Blaze VODs and streams. Clippers watch the stream, capture the best moment, post the clip to X, and submit the link on-chain. The escrowed $BLAZE pays out automatically via smart contract โ no middlemen, no manual payments, no trust required.
Streamers want their streams clipped and shared to grow their audience. Clippers want to be compensated for quality content creation. Today both sides operate informally with no guarantee of payment. BlazeDAO puts bounties on-chain and pays clippers in $BLAZE the moment a winner is chosen.
Blaze is the only web3-native streaming platform where creators earn on-chain and the audience is already crypto-native. $BLAZE as a reward currency is natural. We use Blaze OAuth for identity, Blaze channel APIs for live status and VOD data, and Blaze clips API for verification. BlazeDAO is Blaze-first, not a Twitch clone bolted onto crypto.
Connect your EVM wallet and link your Blaze.stream account via OAuth. Your Blaze identity is verified server-side โ username, avatar, and channel stats pulled directly from the Blaze API. No NFT minting required.
Clippers additionally verify ownership of an X (Twitter) account from their Profile page. This isn't optional cosmetics โ only a verified X account can submit clips, and every submission's link must be posted from that exact verified account. The username in the link is checked against your verified handle before the submission goes on-chain, so a bounty can't be gamed with a link copied from someone else's post.
Streamers lock $BLAZE in escrow via smart contract. The bounty is tied to a specific Blaze VOD (picked from real VOD history via the Blaze API). Two modes: Streamer Picks or Community Vote.
Clippers watch the Blaze stream, clip the best moment, post it to X, and submit the X link on-chain. The submission is recorded immutably on Avalanche. Clippers see real live status and follower counts powered by the Blaze API.
Streamer reviews submissions and picks winner(s) with custom $BLAZE splits. In Community Vote mode, the contract resolves automatically once the deadline passes. Ties are handled on-chain.
Winning clipper(s) call claim() and receive their $BLAZE directly in their wallet. Pull-payment pattern โ no manual payment, no platform fee, no trust required.
Every clip submission is tied to a real, verified X identity โ not just a pasted link. From Profile โ Edit Profile, connect your X account through OAuth. Once verified, your handle is stored against your wallet in Supabase (profiles.x_handle / profiles.x_verified).
Before a clip submission reaches the smart contract, BlazeDAO checks two things: (1) the connected wallet has a x_verified = true profile, and (2) the username parsed out of the submitted x.com / twitter.com link matches the verified handle exactly. If either check fails, the submission is blocked client-side with an explanation โ the streamer never even has to review a spoofed link.
Without this, anyone could paste someone else's viral X post into a bounty and claim the reward. Tying submissions to a verified, wallet-linked X identity keeps the "did this person actually make this clip" question answered on-chain rather than on trust.
BlazeDAO integrates Blaze's developer API (dev.blaze.stream/docs) throughout the entire user journey โ identity verification, live stream data, VOD history, clips, and channel stats. This is the core of our Blaze Builder Challenge entry.
The Channels API also exposes /channels/followers, /channels/subscribers, and /channels/activities (new followers, subs, gifts, votes) for the authorized channel, plus a real-time Events/Socket.IO layer for live status changes instead of polling. We plan to use the activity feed for a "your channel today" digest, and the Events layer to flip the LIVE badge on bounty cards instantly instead of on a refresh.
Core escrow contract. Bounty creation, clip submission, voting, winner selection, pull-pattern payout. Built with ReentrancyGuard, Pausable, Ownable (OpenZeppelin v5). ERC-20 native ($BLAZE).
Standard ERC-20 (18 decimals) for testnet. Includes faucet() with 1-hour cooldown minting 10,000 mBLAZE per claim. Will be replaced with real $BLAZE on mainnet.
Pull-payment on all transfers prevents reentrancy. SafeERC20 guards against non-standard tokens. Splits must sum exactly to bounty reward. Streamer cannot submit/vote on their own bounty. One submission + one vote per wallet. 200-submission cap prevents gas-griefing. Admin can only sweep funds unclaimed for 180+ days.
BlazeDAO is fully functional on Avalanche Fuji testnet. Real user flows work end-to-end: Blaze OAuth login, bounty creation, clip submission, winner selection, and $BLAZE payout โ all on testnet with mock tokens. The Blaze API integration is production-ready.
Marketing to bring streamers and clippers onto the platform, server infrastructure and storage costs (Vercel, Supabase, Render), tools and resources for scaling the backend, initial $BLAZE liquidity for the escrow contract, and community growth budget. We are applying to the Blaze Builder Challenge specifically because the prize provides exactly the bridge needed to move from a working testnet product to a live mainnet platform with real $BLAZE rewards for real clippers.
Blaze OAuth integration, ERC-20 escrow contract, bounty board, clip submission, streamer pick and community vote, $BLAZE payouts, dashboard with Blaze channel stats and VODs and clips, live status badges, streamer avatars on bounty cards.
Blaze clip verification using clipId, streamer analytics page, mobile UX polish, token refresh reliability improvements.
Mainnet launch with real $BLAZE, Blaze chat bot shoutouts when a bounty is won, clipper leaderboard, reputation system tied to Blaze channel stats.
DAO governance for platform parameters, tiered bounties with Blaze subscription gating, channel-exclusive bounties for subscribers only, VOD-timestamped clip verification.
Two ways to earn $BLAZE โ as a clipper who gets paid for clips, or as a streamer who grows their channel through bounty-driven content.
Head to the Bounties page and find one that matches a stream you actually watch. Read the description and any special requirements carefully โ submissions that miss the brief don't get picked.
Clip the moment the bounty is asking for from the streamer's Blaze VOD or live stream, then post that clip to X (Twitter). Tag the streamer's X handle shown on the bounty if one is listed.
Paste your X post link into the bounty's submission box. This is recorded on Avalanche Fuji, so there's no way for a streamer to quietly ignore a winning entry โ the contract requires them to pick from what was actually submitted.
In Streamer Picks mode, the streamer reviews every submission and chooses the winner(s) manually. In Community Vote mode, anyone can vote and the highest-voted clip automatically wins once the deadline passes โ so rallying your own audience to vote genuinely helps.
Once a winner is chosen, head to your Activity tab and hit claim โ the reward goes straight to your wallet. Nobody has to send it manually, and nobody can hold it back.
Submit early โ some bounties reward multiple winners, so being first with a solid clip beats being late with a great one. Keep clips short and punchy. Follow every listed requirement exactly (watermark, length limits, no reposting). And link your X account in your profile so your submissions carry a verified badge.
Streamers don't get paid directly by BlazeDAO โ you fund bounties from your own $BLAZE to get your stream clipped. What you're "earning" is distribution: a wave of clippers actively watching your VODs and pushing your best moments out to X, which is exactly the kind of promotion that grows follower counts, subs, and live viewership on Blaze.
Go to Post a Bounty, lock a $BLAZE reward in escrow, and describe exactly what kind of moment you want clipped. The more specific the brief, the better the clips you'll get back.
Because the $BLAZE is locked in a smart contract the moment you post, clippers know the reward is real and guaranteed โ that trust is what gets serious clippers to actually compete for your bounty instead of ignoring it.
Review submissions yourself, or use Community Vote mode to turn winner-selection into an engagement moment for your own audience.
Every clip posted to X with your handle tagged is a new discovery surface. Run bounties consistently around your streams and clippers start watching your channel by default โ turning your community into an always-on promo engine.
Set a realistic reward for the size of clip you want โ bigger rewards pull in more competition. Use the "Number of Winners" setting to reward more than one great clip per bounty. And keep the submission window tight (a few hours) right after a big stream moment, while it's still fresh.
